Steps

1. The computer RJ45 network port is connected to the LAN port of the hongdian device using a network cable.

2. Make sure the computer is on the same network of the default router network (192.168.8.1/24). It’s highly suggested to disable WiFi on the computer.

3. After the computer has set the IP address, you can enter 192.168.8.1 in the browser and enter the account admin/admin

4.Check the firmware,make sure the firmware is latest.regarding the latest firmware, please confirm with the

engineers of Hongdian.

5.Reset the deivce ,Click---System---Files---Load

6. After reset, please reconfigure the router. if still can't get the device online, please contact Hongdian engineers.

How to configure and use DNAT

This document is based on FW (V7.2.0_SE) and higher

Summary

DNAT is used to replace the destination address of packets accessing external network, router will replace the destination address of packet accessing external network into the user custom settings.

Through the DNAT function, we can remotely access the server on the LAN side of the router to solve the problem that the server does not have a public IP address

Problem analysis or configuration steps

Step 1 Log-on WEB GUI of 3G/4G router.

      1、The computer RJ45 network port is connected to the LAN port of the hongdian device using a network cable.

      2、Download the required firmware to the local hard drive.

      3、Make sure the computer is on the same network of the default router network (182.168.8.1/24). It’s highly

suggested to disable WiFi on the computer.

      4、After the computer has set the IP address, you can enter 192.168.8.1 in the browser and enter the account

admin/admin

Step 2 Click “Forward > NAT” to open “NAT” tab.

Step 3 Click “Add” to add a new NAT rule.

Step 4 Select “DNAT” in NAT Type, to configure DNAT rule parameter.

Step 5 Single click “save” icon to finish.

Notes:The SIM card need get the public IP address

How to Import & Export the Configuration File

This document provides the instruction on how to import and export the configuration file.

Steps

1. The computer RJ45 network port is connected to the LAN port of the hongdian device using a network cable.

2. Make sure the computer is on the same network of the default router network (192.168.8.1/24). It is highly suggested to disable Wi-Fi on the computer.

3. After the computer has set the IP address, you can enter 192.168.8.1 in the browser and enter the account admin/admin

4. Export and Import the configuration file.

Path: System->Files->Backup Setting

Step 1 Input a Key for encrypting the configuration file. (optional)

Step 2 Click “Export” button to generate a configuration file and download it to your computer.

Note: If a key is entered while exporting, the configuration file will be encrypted, please make sure the key is well

protected and memorized, it is necessary for configuration importing.

Import

Path: System->Files->Backup Setting

Step 1 Click “Choose” button to select the configuration file from local disk

Step 2 Input the key of the configuration file (if there is any).

Step 3 Then click “Import” button to apply the configuration from the file.

environment between customer and our support team.

Steps

3. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet via another gateway except the router itself, because we might

be going to with a network issue of the router.

1 Overview

Hongdian 3G/4G Router provides WLAN/Modem link backup for the field application which may need the WLAN

connection as main link,and the 3G/4G wireless connection as backup link, so as to make sure the stable connection.

Here we introduce the settings that WLAN link as main, modem link as backup. The converse of mainand back link is

also OK.

2 Description 

1. We finish the settings about wlan and modem, make wlan and modem both connecting,wlan setting as below

show , modem port is according to your custom.

2. If your Network Type settings has changed, please recover to the following.

3. We use Link Backup feature, as following:

Main link.

Rule0 is for checking eth1, if wlan link fail, the link will switch to backup link.

Note: If don’t want backup link switch to main link immediately when main link is back, can setup the Running Timeout

setting. The time means unless the main link works for that specific time, link should not switch back to

Rule1 is for checking modem, When Main link is back, the link will switch to main link. 

4. We add MASQ about eth1 and modem.

Please delete the default setting in page>>Forward>>Routing. When using link backup feature, this setting should be

empty. 

After that, the link backup setting is done, you will see the default route is eth1, refer to pic1, if wan link fail, the link will

switch to modem link, you will see the default route is modem, refer to pic2

PS: about the linkbackup total switch time instruction:

From the log, the linkbackup switch from start to end, total cost 15s(retry time is 3), so every linkbakcup every check

time cost 5s, we can draw the linkbakcup total switch time range is

Min: 5s*retry time<= linkbackup total switch time <= Max: normal interval+5s*retry time

Module AT Command Operation Instructions

Overview

This document mainly introduces how to enter the module AT mode and execute the module's AT command

Steps:

1. Enter 192.168.8.1 in the browser, username admin, password admin

2. Click "Network---modem" to disable the modem

3. Use SSH or putty software to log in to the device, the telnet command is telnet 192.168.8.1 5188, the account is root,

and the password is superzxmn

4. Enter cat /tmp/modem.dev view module interface

5. Enter module AT mode: enter tip /dev/ttyUSB2, then enter ATE1, and press Enter.

6. The AT command of the module version information is ATI

Upgrade for Router

Steps

1. The computer RJ45 network port is connected to the LAN port of the hongdian device using a network cable.

2. Download the required firmware to the local hard drive.

3. Make sure the computer is on the same network of the default router network (182.168.15.1/24). It’s highly

suggested to disable WiFi on the computer.

4. After the computer has set the IP address, you can enter 192.168.15.1 in the browser and enter the account

admin/admin

5. Click System ---> Files, and click the Browse button to choose the boot/app then click the Upgrade button:

Around 3 minutes, the web shall show “Upgrade is ok”.

What is the maximum communication speed supported by Z1?

Z1 supports 4*LAN GE ports, WiFi supports 1.2gbps at most, 5G current test maximum speed supports 920Mbps download and 120Mbps upload. At present, it is the industry leader, and the speed is being optimize and improved continously.

Does Z1 support band carrier aggregation?

Yes,Band carrier aggregation is supported. Base on different module, the supported Bands are different. Please contact technical support for confirmation.
